What This Job Is About

As a Funding Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating the application, approval and funding process for small business loan applications. You’ll become the contract expert across a variety of financing and small business solutions products, including merchant cash advances, term loans, and SBA loans. You'll support the sales team, communicate with funding partners, and provide documents and support to clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Follow up with sales reps to gather documentation from the merchant

• Place specific deals with the appropriate lender

• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints

• Assist lenders in setting up a new deal

• Identify and access risks, sharing your concerns with the team

• Track and maintain customer information in Salesforce CRM

• Demonstrate top-tier internal and external customer service

Minimum Requirements for This Role

• 1-2 years of experience working with personal or business credit products

• Strong understanding of small businesses growth and funding needs

• Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate

• Tech-savvy; i.e., able to use spreadsheets, email, and G-Suite (or Microsoft Office)

• Customer service experience in a call center or team environment

• Relationship management or account management experience a plus
