Staff Accountant

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, is hiring a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities for a mid-sized industrial operation.

The position reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting functions. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in GAAP and is comfortable working with ERP systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is an on-site, full-time position offering a clear path toward senior accounting and financial analysis roles within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Support preparation of financial statements and internal reports
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
• Assist with annual budget preparation and variance analysis
• Support external audit requests and documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of general accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with ERP or accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
