Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst
Description
Stewart & Tate is seeking a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to work closely with the Director of Finance in managing and directing the department's accounting and finance activities, primarily within our General Contractor divisions.
Essential Functions

- Ensures internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions, reporting, and budget preparation are being adhered to and deadlines are being met.
- Assists with the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets to support business decision-making.
- Assists Director of Finance with month-end closing processes and the production of financial statements, ensuring that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Plays a key role in assisting with annual tax-related filings and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations/requirements.
- Audits and reconciles accounts regularly; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit/review.
- Supports the review and approval of payment applications.
- Helps manage systems and process improvement projects.
- Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities.
- Supervises a staff accountant and coordinates reporting and filing activities with other members of the department.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance.
- 5-10 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Works well independently and on teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience in the Construction industry preferred.
- Local to Central PA (York, Lancaster, Harrisburg). Not a remote position.
