Position Summary
The primary goal of the Channel Merchandiser is to connect shoppers with the right products and drive them to "Add to Cart." This role is responsible for optimizing product listings across all online marketplaces through accurate product uploads, detailed descriptions and high-quality images. By leveraging data and analytics, the Channel Merchandiser will continuously refine and improve listings, implementing both current and emerging strategies to enhance visibility and conversion.
As a key contributor to the Ecommerce Division, this position plays a vital role in driving growth and ensuring the team meets and exceeds business objectives.
Primary Duties:
- Update product photos and descriptions across all sales channels—individually or via bulk uploads—to ensure accuracy and maximize conversion rates.
- Write compelling product descriptions and bullet points that drive sales and set realistic consumer expectations for a positive purchasing experience.
- Develop creative bundling and packaging strategies to increase product profitability.
- Use available data and analytics to continuously refine listings and implement optimized strategies across all online marketplaces.
- Gather accurate and detailed information about new products to ensure successful listing in the catalog.
- Ensure all products are listed on relevant and desired sales platforms.
- Collaborate with customer service teams on each channel to correct or update product listing information as needed.
- Research and identify new sales platforms, while staying up to date on best practices for optimizing listings within each marketplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong work ethic with the ability to see projects through to completion.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and develop logical solutions.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within various aspects of merchandising.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including advanced Excel functions and data management tools.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure product listings are consistently accurate.
- Adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn and adjust in a dynamic, growing business environment.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Must have three to five years’ relevant experience.
Hours:
40–45 hours per week, depending on business needs.
Must be available to work Monday through Friday.
