Accounting Manager / Controller

Springfield PA / Hybrid

Liberty Personnel is partnering with one of the fastest growing property management companies in the country who are expanding their accounting team with an Accounting Manager/Controller. The role has leadership responsibilities, will be responsible for management company and review of property level accounting. You will also work with senior management to develop and build processes that enhance reporting and operational efficiencies. Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting operations including staff management, general accounting, accounts payable, and receivable
• Preparation and review of financial statements
• Ensure GAAP compliance
• Preparation and review of account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Assist with developing best practices, workpapers, accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with implementation of internal controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and ad-hoc projects
• Assist with tax filings

Required Experience:

• BS in Accounting
• MBA or CPA preferred
• 5+ years experience in real estate accounting
• Public accounting experience with real estate clients preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Strong experience with Excel and real estate accounting software
• Strong knowledge of accounting controls and accounting processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, peers and staff
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
