Pennsylvania Cardiac Surgery - APP First Call Support

We have an ongoing locums need for a Board Certified Cardiac Surgeon in Pennsylvania. This assignment offers excellent APP support and a manageable, call-only schedule.

Highlights

• Ongoing, part-time assignment
• Only 4 shifts per month required
• APP team takes first call (except ICU/ED/Transfers)
• No long-term commitment required

Practice Setting

• Inpatient coverage
• Handle emergency cardiac cases
• Adult patient population
• 30-minute call response time

Schedule

• 24-hour call coverage
• Weekend assignments still available
• Winter and Summer 2025/2026 dates open
• Choose the dates that work for your schedule

Procedures and Cases

• Focus on emergency cardiac cases
• Includes ECMO and Tamponade
• Cases: CABG, TAVR, Aortic Aneurysm Repair
• Procedures: Valve replacements, MitraClip, PFO Closure

Requirements

• Board Certified in Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery
• Active ACLS and BLS
• Minimum 36 months of experience
• Open to candidates who need a PA license

Credentialing Requirements

• Temporary privileges are available for a quick start
• Full credentialing in 60-90 days
• Dedicated credentialing support provided
