Technical Lead - Salesforce Developer
Our client is a national leader in environmental services, specializing in compliance, sustainability programs, and large-scale waste management solutions. They support enterprise clients across highly regulated industries and are in the middle of a major multi-cloud Salesforce transformation that is central to their commercial operations, customer lifecycle, and data strategy.
The company is investing significantly in modernizing its CRM ecosystem, integrating Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and later-phase CPQ. They are building an on-site technical backbone for the program, and this Salesforce Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in driving engineering excellence, integration quality, and solution governance.
This is a contract role, estimated at 9–12 months, and is based onsite in King of Prussia, PA. The team currently works onsite three days per week and is moving to four.
The Role You’ll Play
You will serve as the lead engineer and onsite technical authority across a multi-cloud Salesforce environment. Your work directly impacts commercial operations, downstream system integrations, and overall program velocity. You’ll partner closely with the Tech Delivery Manager and Salesforce Business Analyst, acting as the go-to expert for Apex, LWC, integrations, data flows, and solution design.
Serve as the onsite technical lead for Salesforce engineering, guiding solution design and hands-on development.
Drive development across LWC, Apex triggers, screen flows, and core Sales Cloud configuration.
Ensure integration quality across downstream systems, API patterns, and batch processes.
Oversee data migration activities and environment readiness for feature releases.
Implement and enforce access management, sharing rules, and security best practices.
Partner with the TDM and BA to assess feasibility, validate requirements, and shape technical decisions.
Provide mentorship, code reviews, and development oversight for on/offshore teams.
Contribute to long-term architectural decisions across Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
Troubleshoot high-priority issues and act as the onsite escalation point for technical blockers.
Background Profile:
The ideal candidate is a deeply technical Salesforce engineer with strong leadership instincts who thrives in a fast-moving, multi-cloud environment. You should be comfortable working onsite, influencing design decisions, and being the hands-on expert for the broader program.
8+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem, with strong enterprise program experience.
Proven expertise in LWC, Apex, Salesforce APIs, data migrations, and integration design.
Deep knowledge of Sales Cloud architecture; familiarity with Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
Experience supporting complex integrations, batch processing, and downstream system connectivity.
Strong understanding of roles, profiles, sharing models, and security frameworks.
Ability to operate in a hybrid architect/lead-developer capacity.
Previous experience guiding offshore development teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder partnership abilities.
Must be local to King of Prussia, PA and able to work onsite as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications (Administrator, PD1/PD2, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.).
Experience with CPQ environments.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines.
Experience in multi-org environments or enterprise-scale Salesforce rollouts.
