Assistant General Manager

Loco Pez taqueria and bar is hiring an experienced Assistant Manager to join our management team. We offer a competitive wage, benefits, PTO, and bonuses in a high volume/energy restaurant. Come join our mashup of your grandpa’s watering hole and a taco truck from La Brea Avenue. Loco Pez is a slightly hungover band of restaurant lifers acting out a heartfelt ode to good times, bathroom graffiti, and classically prepared and presented LA-style Mexican street cuisine.

Yes, it’s nights and weekend, and yes, you’d better wear comfortable shoes, but on the flip side, ironic tees are permitted.

Other requirements include a basic familiarity with restaurant operations, points of service, staff management, conflict resolution (non-violent), and customer interaction. It’s a living!

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in FOH or full-service restaurant.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Possess strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Work well in fast-paced setting.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Possess a positive attitude
• Ability to manage time well, multi-task and prioritize
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.

The Assistant Manager reports to the General Manager.
