Job Title: Receiving Forklift Operator
Pay Rate: $17/hr.
Shift: 8:30 AM- 5PM
Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Receiving Forklift Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and move materials, as well as performing yard checks to ensure trailers are properly staged, available, and free from damage. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Walk the yard to inspect trailers and ensure they are free from damage.
- Verify that the correct trailers are on-site and properly staged for receiving and shipping activities.
- Report any trailer or equipment damage to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with general warehouse and yard organization as needed.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience (sit-down forklift preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse and outdoor yard setting.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and forklift traffic.
