Our client is seeking a Senior MEP Coordinator to provide technical leadership and coordination for complex commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for an MEP professional who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, design, and construction execution while collaborating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical, electrical, and building systems knowledge who wants to play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects from design through commissioning and turnover.

Responsibilities:

• Provide MEP coordination and technical oversight throughout all phases of construction.
• Review mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage systems for constructability, coordination, and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve design and installation challenges.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
• Identify design conflicts, constructability concerns, and potential cost impacts.
• Support BIM/VDC coordination, clash detection, and installation planning.
• Assist with value engineering and system optimization efforts.
• Coordinate equipment selections, procurement, startup, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Provide technical guidance to Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams.
• Support successful MEP installation, testing, balancing, and turnover.
• Project types include but are not limited to: Corporate / Commercial Buildings

Healthcare & Hospital Facilities, Life Sciences & Laboratories, Higher Education & Institutional Projects and Critical Infrastructure

Qualifications:

• Five (5)+ years of experience coordinating MEP systems within a commercial construction environment.
• Experience with a General Contractor, Construction Manager, engineering firm, mechanical contractor, electrical contractor, or commissioning organization.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Ability to interpret construction documents, engineering drawings, specifications, and MEP plans.
• Experience supporting complex commercial, healthcare, institutional, laboratory, higher education, or mission-critical projects is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
