Quality Control Technician

George Blood Audio L.P.- Fort Washington, PA

Overview:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for checking digital files of various legacy audiovisual formats for conformance to project specifications. You will join our growing team of experienced engineers and staff in a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Check digital files and optical media for conformance to project specifications Provide input to department head
• Assist transfers engineers

Education and skills:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with production staff and leadership with confidence and clarity
• Effective organizational skills
• Computer skills with word-processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail programs
• Time- and stress-management skills
• Ability to learn quickly, to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities, and to accept independence
• Experience using Mac hardware preferred, NOT required.
• Additional qualifications preferred, but not required:
• Prior experience in quality control
• Knowledge of legacy audio and video formats
• Must be capable of lifting 50lbs unaided and sit for up to 8 hours per day

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8AM-4PM Starting salary $20/hour plus benefits including medical, retirement, paid time off. Possible hourly raise after probationary period.
