Territory Manager - US Great Lakes

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Provide continuous territory coverage and support via personal visits and phone contact to pursue both unit equipment and Aftermarket sales to include pellet mill rolls & dies and spare parts for the Feed and Biofuel Division of Andritz Inc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provide liaison between customer and appropriate departments to solve technical and commercial problems as quickly as possible;
• Develop and execute specific customer strategies to either gain new business or further develop business on installed base;
• Support preparation of sales proposals for both Aftermarket and unit equipment sales. Follow up and close on outstanding proposals;
• Provide and maintain call reports and monthly reports on all sales activities in the territory;
• Maintain CRM data base;
• Maintain current knowledge on competitors and their activities in the territory. Share information with Sales Manager(s) and other Field Sales personnel;
• Negotiate terms and conditions of sales with customers that meet Andritz requirements;
• Develop key account strategies to assure competitive position and maximize order intake;
• Monitor industry and competitive trends;
• Interface with order execution and engineering personnel for transfer of new equipment orders;
• Responsible for sales/equipment presentations at association/trade venues;
• Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of on-going projects.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
• All other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES AND ENVIRONMENT:
Position is performed in an office-type environment with the requirement of good mobility in order travel (Domestic / International) and move between departments, including manufacturing plant facilities which may be dusty and dirty, with varying temperatures and noise levels. Candidate will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, lift at least 50 lbs., maneuver within confined spaces without impacting safety, wear necessary PPE and endure extended working hours, when required. Position requires work to be conducted in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
COMPLEXITY OF TASKS:
• Must have knowledge and a solid understanding of Andritz organization standards, procedures and goals and objectives
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Ag or Feed Science, or equivalent combination of related discipline with minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Feed Mill or other Grain markets. Technical Degree preferred.

• Computer literacy using Microsoft Office package, as well as familiarity with other office suites / databases;
• Excellent knowledge of the English language and grammar;

• Must be able to manage and manipulate a large volume of information for several managers, as well as handle all types of internal and external calls and correspondence;
• Must be able to cope in a frequently stressful environment with multiple priorities.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree and / or 7+ years of experience;
• 3 years of Project Management experience;
• Experience coordinating and facilitating meetings;
• Experience coaching others;
• Prior experience using a Collaboration Tool (e.g. SharePoint, for document management & sharing);
• Understanding/exposure to working in a shared services model;
• Ability to work across teams, groups and functions and to build strong relationships;
• Working technical knowledge of network, personal computer and server hardware, protocols, standards, and applications;
• Extensive application support experience including database maintenance and support;
• Working technical knowledge relating to wired and wireless Ethernet networks;
• Strong communication and organization skills;
• Ability to work in and lead in a team environment;
• Ability to be a team contributor, to be persistent when necessary, responsive, open and accessible;
• Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals;
• Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language;
• Highly self-motivated and directed;
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment;
• Strong customer service orientation;
• Travel requirements subject to change according to project load - approximately 35%+ travel is expected. Some International travel will be required;
• On-call availability may be required with weekend and off-hours needed occasionally.
