Visiting Assistant Professor, Biology

Saint Francis University invites applications for a visiting instructor / visiting assistant professor position in the Biology department for the 2026-2027 academic year, with possibility for renewal in subsequent years. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily focused on teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology to students in the new UPMC Mercy School of Nursing program. Lecture/theory courses will be held at UPMC Altoona Hospital, while laboratories will be held online.
Master’s degree in biology or related discipline is required. A terminal degree is required for the visiting assistant professor level. Experience teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology in a college setting is strongly desired, and experience teaching nontraditional students is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate aptitude and zeal for teaching that is coupled with a student-center approach.
