Underwriting Associate

Our client, a prominent player in the insurance industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriting Associate to join their team in Pittston PA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evaluation and management of risks for various insurance policies.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Associate to join our client's Commercial Underwriting Unit. In this role, you will learn how to evaluate risks for Workers’ Compensation, Business Owners’, Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Umbrella policies for small businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in underwriting and gain valuable industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in evaluating and analyzing risks for various insurance policies.
• Review applications, financial statements, and other relevant documents.
• Collaborate with senior underwriters to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions.
• Communicate with agents and brokers to gather necessary information and clarify details.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pittston, PA.

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $55660.00/yr.
