JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Supervisor

REPORTING TO: Supply Chain Manager

Company Overview: Founded in 1955, Piasecki Aircraft Corporation (PiAC) is a research and development business specializing in design, fabrication, and flight testing of experimental rotorcraft and unmanned air vehicles. PiAC has developed and flown more than 25 different advanced VTOL and UAV aircraft and continues to develop cutting-edge vertical flight technologies.

SUMMARY: The Piasecki Aircraft Corporation Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Manager in overseeing and coordinating various day-to-day supply chain activities to ensure operational efficiency. This role involves direct supervision of general supply chain support staff and assisting with the implementation of supply chain strategies, process improvements, and cross-functional projects. The Supply Chain Supervisor will play a key role in fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring smooth execution of supply chain operations in support of PiAC's research and development programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to assigned supply chain staff (e.g., Supply Chain Assistants, general support roles), managing daily tasks, performance, and professional development.
• Assist the Supply Chain Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of supply chain policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate and support cross-functional supply chain projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and other departments.
• Help identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain and assist in the implementation of solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Support the administration and maintenance of supply chain systems and tools, including data integrity checks and user support as needed.
• Monitor day-to-day supply chain operations, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues or disruptions in coordination with relevant teams.
• Assist in gathering and analyzing supply chain data to prepare reports and presentations for management.
• Facilitate communication and information flow within the supply chain team and with other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations (including FAR/DFARS where applicable), and quality standards within supervised areas.
• Support the onboarding and training of new supply chain personnel.
• Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Broad understanding of core supply chain principles, including aspects of planning, procurement, and logistics.
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate a team, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic R&D environment.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems (Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and functions.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and process adherence.
• Familiarity with aerospace industry practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, FAR/DFARS) is beneficial.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / CLEARANCES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain role, with at least 1 year of demonstrated experience in a lead, supervisory, or project coordination capacity.
• Relevant certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) are a plus.
• Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 due to U.S. Government Export Control Status.
