Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to support an innovation lab focused on the ideation, design, and engineering of modern, cloud-native products. This role will work at the intersection of application development, cloud engineering, and DevSecOps, helping teams rapidly prototype, modernize, and scale secure, compliant solutions using emerging technologies.
Pay: $55 - $60 an hour
Location: Remote
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain an innovation lab environment for the ideation, design, and engineering of cloud-native product modernization and innovation.

Design and develop Java and React-based full-stack proof-of-concept applications in the cloud, with a strong focus on usability, performance, and security.

Design and implement modern, automated DevSecOps pipelines using industry-standard tools and best practices.

Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and automated CI/CD pipelines to support the lab environment.

Apply principles of composable data systems to improve flexibility, scalability, and maintainability.

Collaborate closely with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Ensure systems and applications are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.

Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code.

Optimize and continuously improve DevSecOps processes for performance, reliability, and developer experience.

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them where they create real value.

Implement transparency, traceability, and appropriate security controls in alignment with best practices and applicable compliance standards.

Support Agile product teams with modern engineering practices, integration strategies, and technical guidance.
Experience Requirements:
-
Minimum of 7 years of experience in full-stack software development, cloud platforms, and DevSecOps environments.

Strong hands-on experience with:
-
Java and React (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)
-
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
-
CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or similar)
-
Strong experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred; Azure and/or GCP a plus).

Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
-
Must have resided in the United States for the past two years.
