Sr. Maintenance Technician – Weekend Nights (Fri–Mon, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM)

Location: Millersburg, PA, USA

Schedule: Weekend PM Shift (Nights)

Work Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Friday through Monday

Position Summary

The Sr. Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring reliable equipment performance and uninterrupted production operations in a world‑class cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repair, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s high operational and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks within the company’s preventive maintenance program.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in production equipment.
• Conduct machine setups, tooling changes, and in‑process adjustments.
• Rebuild, calibrate, and configure sealing components and control systems.
• Document machine downtime, repairs, and critical process parameters accurately.
• Perform HVAC, boiler, generator, and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Assist in equipment installation and qualification.
• Test equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Maintain, repair, and rebuild a variety of production machinery.
• Follow all safety guidelines and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Full-shift standing required (8–12 hours).
• Work involves variable weather conditions and occasional elevated‑height tasks.
• Cleanroom environment with strict standards:
  • No hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, or exposed piercings.
  • Specific gowning required: gloves, hair & beard nets, face cover, safety glasses.
• Use of PPE and understanding of chemical hygiene required.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or laboratory settings.

Preferred:

• Experience diagnosing and repairing equipment involving industrial controls and pneumatics.
• Familiarity with PLCs, reed switches, valves, relays, solenoids, temperature controllers, etc.
• Experience in a cGMP or Lean manufacturing environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Millersburg, PA.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr.
