Automated Process Operator - Ophthalmic Cutting Instruments

A day in this role
Your shift begins at 3:00 PM EST. You arrive on the production floor, review work instructions, and complete line clearance to ensure a clean start. You’ll perform optical tool inspections, assemble components as needed, and run mechanical and negative checks before initiating the Auto Process (Cutting Instruments) . With gauges and fixtures in hand, you monitor outputs and statistically supervise quality, documenting everything according to GMP/GDP and SOP requirements. When a minor issue pops up, you diagnose and resolve it quickly, handle materials safely, and prepare for changeovers to keep production on pace. Throughout the evening, you collaborate with teammates, complete required training, and contribute ideas that drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
What you’ll do
- Operate automated equipment for the Auto Process (Cutting Instruments)
- Perform quality inspections with gauges/fixtures and monitor quality statistically
- Execute optical tool inspection, assembly, set-up, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, and changeovers
- Follow work instructions, SOPs, and Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices
- Handle materials, resolve minor equipment issues, and maintain accurate documentation
- Meet individual job requirements while supporting overall compliance and continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English
- Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM EST
- Work setting: Onsite
- No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance available
Preferred background
- Prior manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
