Senior Manager, Finance Operations

Role Summary: Senior Manager, Finance with relevant experience in Third-Party Logistics (3PL) to partner with Operations and drive financial performance across a complex, multi-site network. This role is not a traditional corporate finance position—it requires firsthand knowledge of 3PL operations, cost structures, and client/site profitability to deliver actionable insights and influence operational decisions. It is a senior individual contributor role focused on delivering insights that improve profitability, forecast accuracy, and cost efficiency across a multi-site network. Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes for the operations groups.
• Leverage tools such as daily P&L to improve forecast accuracy, benchmarking, and profitability analysis.
• Identify and quantify cost reduction opportunities across operational business units.
• Support carrier cost analysis and benchmarking for transportation optimization.
• Identify and develop performance metrics in alignment with strategic goals.
• Assist in the development of financial models/scenarios and ad hoc financial analysis to support management in their decision-making.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and presentations for leadership.
• Actively participate in cross-functional projects, including:
• Network optimization initiatives.
• Client/site profitability improvement programs.
• Implementation of standardized financial processes and tools.
• Collaborate with operations teams to implement financial best practices and process improvements.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive finance experience, with minimum 3–5 years in a 3PL or logistics environment.
• Business partnership experience required.
• Proven ability to translate operational metrics into financial insights and influence decisions.
• Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and distribution cost structures.
• Financial modeling experience is a must.
• Highly analytical with strong business sense
• Ability to generate business insights.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and influence without direct authority.

Desirable Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and forecasting.
• Experience with ERP systems and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience with client/site profitability analysis, benchmarking across sites, and carrier cost optimization.
• Prior experience in efficiently developing models or designing reports using financial systems tools.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
