Glass Blower

You, our Glassblower, are an experienced and passionate glassmaker eager to work in our brand new, state-of-the-art glass studio with a talented crew of fellow glassworkers. Working with our Glass Shop Lead, the glassblower creates glass for our production orders ensuring quality standards are consistently met. The Glassblower also assists the Design Department and Owner, Creative Director, and passionate glassmaker John Pomp on new products, processes, and one-off sculptural works.

Responsiblities

Work with the Glass Department Lead and a team of glassworkers to produce a wide array of different blown and hot cast glass works Collaborate with owner, Creative Director and master Glassmaker John Pomp and Design Department to develop new products and processes to add to a growing collection of new and innovative works Maintain utmost level of precision and quality through completion of each piece, while consistently adhering to the studio’s established processes, as well as, continuously improving production efficiencies Assist glassblowing, coldworking, and kiln working departments Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a precise and timely manner Maintain organized and clean work area and assist glass team with general maintenance and upkeep of glass studios and equipment

Qualifications

Demonstrated glassblowing experience in a professional production environment required Passionate glassblower with a high personal drive to meet and maintain company standards of craft A mature team player who excels in a collaborative environment Self-motivated, energetic, and production minded Meticulous attention to fine-detailed work Creative problem solver Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical shop environment Excellent communication skills
