Camp Curiosity & Curiosity Academy is located on a 50+ acre campus in Doylestown, PA, and has been family-owned and operated since 1965. Curiosity Academy offers Preschool - Kindergarten programs.

Curiosity Academy is looking for early childhood educators to join our team in our Preschool 1 year old classroom. We believe every child has a natural curiosity and a desire to explore and learn about the world around them and we are looking for individuals who share these same values and have a passion for supporting young toddlers in their earliest stages of development.

The young toddler preschool teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for 1-year-olds, supporting their growth in areas such as language, motor skills, social-emotional development, and early problem-solving. This role involves providing consistent care, building strong connections with each child, and working closely with families and our teaching team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Create, prepare, and facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences that are engaging, sensory-rich, and developmentally appropriate for 1-year-olds
• Support daily routines including free play, guided activities, diapering/toileting, snack and meal times, and rest periods
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction
• Observe and document developmental milestones, and share updates with families and leadership
• Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to maintain consistency and enhance the learning environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom, ensuring toys and materials are safe and sanitized
• Communicate warmly and effectively with parents to foster trust and partnership
• Be flexible and assist in other classrooms when needed

The pay rate range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00, depending on background and experience. Additionally, hired staff are eligible for discounted childcare services for school and summer camp.

• Early Childhood Experience, at least two years experience preferred
• High School Diploma
• CDA (or childcare-related degree) preferred
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Ability to accomplish tasks with independence, motivation, and responsibility
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to resolve conflicts and creatively solve problems
• Basic computer proficiency
• CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided)
• Fire and Water Safety Certification (training provided)
• Must be able to obtain Background Clearances, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearances, and Mandated Reporter Training
