Solutions Principal
Provides strategic leadership and communications expertise on large project/program efforts that support Sales, Sales Solutions, and Sales Enablement executive management strategies. Makes recommendations for highly complex sales enablement opportunities and solutions when leading large, cross‑department project teams. Engages with executives on a routine basis and may serve as an informal leader, coach, or mentor to less senior staff. Represents executive management at meetings or functions as needed. Delivers high‑stakes presentations and communicates on behalf of executive leadership. Exhibits executive business etiquette, sound judgment, and a high level of autonomy in representing the department or division.
The Sales Enablement team exists to empower Sales with information, education, and support that increases revenue and reduces selling complexity. We are seeking a Principal‑level strategic project leader with strong communication, project management, and organizational leadership skills (6+ years experience). This person will drive the planning, coordination, and execution of some of the organization’s most complex and high‑impact sales enablement initiatives—particularly those requiring significant change management, cross‑functional alignment, and coordination with HR, Legal, Global Sales Operations, and senior leadership stakeholders. This person will serve as a strategic advisor by translating the Sales organization’s top priorities into actionable enablement work, ensuring that projects, communications, and execution plans directly reinforce the enterprise Sales strategy. They will also be responsible for leading measurement efforts, ensuring global alignment across regions, and maintaining strong partnership with SVP communicators and other senior‑level stakeholders influencing the sales audience.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Lead the development of strategic project plans and integrated communication plans for complex, confidential, and enterprise‑level sales enablement initiatives.
Partner closely with Demand Management team, SVP communicators, Sales Enablement leadership, and Sales executives to surface, synthesize, and document strategic priorities for each Sales segment. Ensure insights inform roadmap planning and annual prioritization activities.
Evaluate incoming requests for project‑related communications or enablement support; identify strategic opportunities to align these efforts to overarching Sales and enterprise priorities.
Mentor less senior team members by providing strategic oversight, guidance on plan development, and support in managing high‑visibility or complex workstreams.
Lead analysis of project and communication performance metrics; develop data‑driven recommendations to strengthen project effectiveness and audience engagement.
Acts independently on behalf of department or division and serves as a trusted advisor to leadership.
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high-impact results.
Other duties may be assigned, dependent on business need.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Six (6) years’ experience in design, development and/or implementing sales/customer solutions to complex business situations. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Ability to plan and work on multiple projects and produce high impact results. Demonstrated ability to lead executive level projects. Advanced interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to provide executive level presentations.

Minimum Education
Bachelor-s Degree or equivalent in business, finance, marketing, mathematics, a quantitative discipline or related field.
Minimum Experience
Six (6) years experience in design, development and/or implementing sales/customer solutions to complex business situations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Has advanced analytical skills with business software modeling techniques and database tools and approaches.
Ability to plan and work on multiple projects and produce high impact results.
Demonstrated ability to lead executive level projects.

Preferred Qualifications: This position may be located anywhere within the US excluding AK, HI and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus several times per week. The desired location for this position would be Memphis, TN.
