The Eastern Regional Mon Valley Police Department is responsible for protecting and serving over 8,000 people in the Boroughs of North Braddock, East Pittsburgh, and Rankin located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania just 11 miles east of Pittsburgh. Candidates should possess values of integrity, compassion, excellence, and community.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
· Completion of a certified police academy training program (ACT 120 Certification)
· Valid driver's license
· Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history and drug screening
· Excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform job duties effectively
· Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
· Knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures related to law enforcement
Salary & Benefits
· Starting salary $63k
· 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off

Summary of Essential Responsibilities
· Patrol assigned areas to maintain public order and prevent crime
· Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
· Enforce traffic laws and issue citations for violations
· Provide support and assistance to victims of crime or accidents
· Prepare detailed reports on incidents, arrests, and investigations
· Additional work as assigned

· Criminal investigation: Experience in conducting thorough investigations into criminal activities.
· Driving: Proficient in driving vehicles safely and adhering to traffic laws
· Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work; double-checks the accuracy of information to ensure high-quality and precise work products.
