Vice President Facilities - Facilities Administration

Location: US:PA: Hershey Work Type: Full Time FTE: 1.00 Shift: Day Hours: Varied Recruiter Contact: Tina Fitzgerald at [email protected] SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position has accountability for effectively leading key facility functions including: Facility Master Planning; Space Planning; Design; Construction; Renewal (Major Maintenance); Facilities Maintenance and Operations; Environmental Compliance; and Safety. The VP will support the vision, strategic plan, and operating objectives of the Penn State Health (PSH) System, including strategic growth initiatives. This individual will provide expertise and guidance to the PSH leadership team in support of patient care, safety, financial, and customer service objectives. The VP will also coordinate with and support PSH functions related to Facilities Management for Ambulatory facilities; Real Estate; and Emergency Preparedness. The VP will have a direct line of coordination with the Assistant Vice President, Facilities, for the Penn State College of Medicine and PSH Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):- Master’s Degree in an Engineering field, Architecture, Facilities Management, Business Administration or related field required.
- Fifteen (15) years of experience in real estate, facilities design, construction and administration, including ten (10) or more years of progressive management experience in facility development, 5 or more years of experience within a large, complex, organization and previous experience in developing and constructing large-scale building projects required.
- Seven (7) years of leadership experience in a healthcare system required.
- Registered Architect or Professional Engineer preferred.
- ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) or ASHE Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) certification preferred.
- LEED Certification preferred.
- Experience working for an academic medical center or similarly complex health system preferred.
- Multi-site facilities management experience preferred.
