JLG is seeking a motivated high school student interested in robotics, automation, and manufacturing processes to join the Robotics Programming team as an apprentice. This hands-on opportunity provides real-world experience in robotic programming, process optimization, and industrial automation within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Robotics Programming & Troubleshooting: Shadow robotics programmers to learn how to create, test, and optimize robotic programs using simulation software.

Process Analysis & Improvement: Conduct time studies, process mapping, and layout assessments to enhance fabrication and robotic operations.

Safety & Quality Enhancements: Identify and implement tools and strategies to improve workplace safety and product quality.

Standard Work Instructions (SWI): Assist in updating SWI documentation to reflect process improvements.

Software Proficiency: Gain experience in 2D/3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, etc.) and utilize Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting.

Basic understanding of robotics, welding, and industrial automation.

Interest in robotics programming, automation, or a related engineering field-preferably planning to attend college, trade school, or enter the workforce in a robotics or automation role.
