Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time paraprofessional opportunity offers a rewarding role supporting K-12 students in an educational setting located in Pittston, PA. With a contract extending through June 10, 2026, this position provides consistent work up to 32.5 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students with daily activities including feeding, repositioning, toileting, and diapering when necessary
- Support students classified within the special education population, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
- Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to implement individualized educational plans
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to all school guidelines and protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working professionally with children, preferably within a school setting
- Ability to obtain and complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and consistent attendance
- Comfort and skill in working with children requiring personal care support
- Candidates must be free from any work restrictions
