Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, neurodiversity-affirming Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate will embrace child-led practices, prioritize authentic relationship-building, and implement strength-based IBHS-ABA interventions while maintaining the highest ethical standards. This role requires someone who values neurodivergent perspectives and is committed to moving beyond traditional compliance-based approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strength-based, child-led treatment plans that honor each child's neurodivergent identity and interests
- Conduct compassionate functional behavior assessments with a focus on understanding communication and sensory needs
- Design play-based, naturalistic interventions that follow the child's lead and motivation
- Provide mentoring supervision to Behavioral Health Technician-ABAs (BHT-ABAs) in neuroaffirming practices
- Collaborate authentically with families as equal partners in the treatment process
- Monitor progress through meaningful data that reflects quality of life improvements, not just compliance
- Facilitate family education focused on understanding and supporting neurodivergent children
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams while advocating for neuroaffirming approaches
- Implement trauma-informed, relationship-based interventions that prioritize emotional safety
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with IBHS and insurance requirements
- Complete IBHS service plans, assessments, and progress reports
- Participate in collaborative treatment team meetings and family conferences
- Ensure alignment with BACB ethical guidelines and neuroaffirming practice standards
- Mentor staff in child-led, relationship-based intervention strategies
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
- Current BCBA certification in good standing
- Pennsylvania state licensure
- Commitment to neuroaffirming, child-led practices and rejection of compliance-based approaches
- Experience with IBHS service delivery model preferred
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and its application to neurodivergent children
- Strong collaborative communication skills and family partnership approach
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based services
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with child-led, play-based ABA interventions
- Knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming practices and philosophy
- Familiarity with IBHS billing and documentation requirements
- Understanding of sensory processing and regulation strategies
- Experience working with neurodivergent adults or autistic self-advocates
- Training in relationship-based interventions (DIR/Floortime, RDI, etc.)
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
