  • Check and document the condition of vehicle glass, including windshields and windows, and note any missing or damaged glass.
  • Identify and record the presence or absence of body panels such as fenders, bumpers, hoods, trunks, and other exterior components.
  • Inspect and document basic interior components, including steering wheel, seats, radio, and other key interior features.
  • Attempt to start each vehicle and accurately record whether it starts without assistance.
  • Use a battery pack to jump-start vehicles that do not start on their own, following safety procedures.
  • Enter all inspection and inventory information into a handheld device similar to a tablet with accuracy and completeness.
  • Use basic computer and mobile device skills to navigate software, input data, and communicate as needed.
  • Work independently in the yard with little to no direct supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Communicate with team members and supervisor via handheld radio to request support or clarify instructions when needed.
  • Follow safety guidelines at all times, including proper use of safety gear and awareness of yard conditions.
  • Perform general outdoor labor tasks related to the yard, which may include moving around the yard, working around vehicles, and maintaining an organized work area.
  • Participate in and complete initial training, apply feedback quickly, and demonstrate the ability to learn new tasks within a short timeframe.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and work occasional Saturday overtime as needed based on business demand.

Essential Skills

  • Experience or strong interest in working with cars, including basic familiarity with vehicle parts such as fenders, bumpers, hoods, and trunks.
  • Ability to identify and describe basic vehicle components, including glass, body panels, and interior features such as steering wheel, seats, and radio.

  • Experience using a smartphone, tablet, or similar handheld device to enter and manage information.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate simple software or applications.
  • Capability to use a battery pack to attempt to jump-start vehicles, with attention to safe handling.
  • Strong attention to detail when inspecting and documenting vehicle condition.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and apply training within a short timeframe.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Background or experience in general labor, construction, outdoor labor, yard work, or car detailing.
  • Comfort working in an industrial park or fenced yard environment.
  • Good communication skills to interact with a small on-site team and use handheld radios effectively.
  • Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Willingness to follow dress guidelines, including wearing jeans and steel-toe footwear.
  • Ability to adapt to varying weather conditions and maintain focus on tasks throughout the day.
  • No formal technical training required beyond the provided on-the-job training.

Why Work Here?

You will join a small, close-knit team in a clean and organized environment where your contributions are visible and valued. The role offers a consistent Monday through Friday daytime schedule, with limited Saturday overtime only when business needs require it, supporting a stable work-life rhythm. You will receive structured training, clear expectations, and the opportunity to develop practical automotive and yard operations experience.
