Server - Full and Part Time

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional dining service to our residents, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. This role requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, which will help make every meal an opportunity for meaningful connection and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal service.
- Assist residents with menu selections and accommodate dietary restrictions.
- Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
- Serve meals and beverages in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal service.
- Engage with residents and guests to create a warm and inviting dining atmosphere.
- Provide personalized attention to all residents, taking into consideration any mobility, memory, or sensory limitations.
- Respond to resident requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist with special events, holiday meals, and family gatherings as needed.
- Build positive, professional ongoing relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred. Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting is a plus.
- Excellence in maintaining food safety and sanitation practices.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other servers, kitchen staff, and care team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and make confident ethical decisions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to navigate dining areas safely while serving, which can include frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
