Hillside is looking for a Maintenance Director

We are seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee all maintenance and housekeeping operations at our facility in Montoursville, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience as a maintenance supervisor and possess strong skills in maintenance and housekeeping supervision.

Job Duties: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing minor repairs and maintenance on equipment of the facility as directed; assists with outside duties such as snow removal and landscaping, as needed.
• Maintains the building in good repair and keeps free of hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance duties and completes required monthly documentation with regard to such; submits to Administrator or Regional Maintenance Director, as directed.
• Performs test of the fire alarm system and keeps required records of the test results as directed.
• Keeps the heating and air-conditioning units in good working order including cleaning of the units, vents, and fans, as scheduled.
• Performs routine maintenance and repair work.
• May paint and perform minor carpentry and repair work, orders supplies
• Maintains the outside immediate area of the facility free from debris, including snow and ice removal and cleaning out gutters regularly.
• Maintains the facility in a safe and clean manner; this includes routinely shampooing carpets and stripping/waxing floors, as needed.
• Inspects and changes light bulbs on the exterior and interior as assigned, monitors batteries and other equipment in Emergency Kits.
• Maintains facilitys vehicles and vehicle safety program, including ensuring they have adequate gas, first aid supplies, and current inspections; assists in transporting of residents to outside appointments as assigned.
• Regularly monitors electrical safety of washers, dryers, kitchen appliances, ice machines, and other equipment; inspects and tags all electrical equipment brought by residents for safety.
• Painting, patching, carpet cleaning, repairing, etc. all exited rooms as per the Administrator or Regional Maintenance Director.
• Participates in regular on-call rotation as assigned by Regional Maintenance Director or Administrator.
• Ensures we are compliant with PA DHS and other state and federal guidelines with facility maintenance and emergency preparedness.
• Other duties as assigned by the Regional Maintenance Director or Administrator.
• Manage and supervise maintenance staff
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Oversee housekeeping operations and ensure cleanliness standards are met
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance projects
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

Skills:

• Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Maintenace in a senior living facility preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be flexible to work a manger on duty weekend
