Field Service Technician

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Field Service Technician to reinforce our Electrical Safety Solutions Business Unit, where the successful candidate will develop activities as part of the Sécheron Hasler USA team.
Main tasks:
- Repair and overhaul of electromechanical components according to internal instructions.
- Mechanical and electrical testing of these components.
- Incoming inspection/analysis of defective/worn components.
- Create service and routine test reports in English.
- Organize spare part deliveries and manage our stock of spare parts.
- Coordination with our customer support engineering and sales teams.
- Visit the customer sites in the USA or Canada when required.
- Organization (calibration) of our measuring equipment according to internal quality standards.
- Practical and theoretical training of our customers.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a repair technician with mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
- Good computer skills in the use of MS Office
- Knowledge of railway technology is an advantage
- Ability to work in a team
- Willingness to learn
- Availability to travel around 20-30% of the time.
- Ability to work independently and on one's own responsibility
- Interest and ability to understand DC & AC power systems and corresponding product needs.
- Driving license
- Excellent English
- Any other languages are a plus.
