Med/Surg Travel RN Job Details

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care on a Medical-Surgical unit within an acute care hospital
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to nursing interventions
- Administer medications, perform prescribed treatments, and assist with procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, and support staff
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for all patients and staff
