Anesthesia Technician, Expert

Purpose:
Bring your technical expertise and passion for patient care to the heart of our operating rooms! As an Expert Anesthesia Technician , you’ll play a vital role in supporting safe, effective anesthesia delivery across a range of complex and high-acuity cases. Working under the guidance of the Director and in close collaboration with anesthesiologists and CRNAs, you’ll ensure every procedure runs smoothly — from setup to close — through expert coordination of equipment, supplies, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prepare anesthesia equipment, supplies, and systems for daily cases to ensure safe, reliable operation.

• Support the anesthesia team in complex, high-acuity procedures — including cardiothoracic, neuro, pediatric, transplant, obstetric, and trauma cases.

• Troubleshoot and maintain critical equipment such as invasive monitoring lines, rapid transfusion systems, and autologous blood management systems.

• Assist in the setup and management of advanced procedures, such as difficult airways, fetal surgeries, and ICU transfers.

• Serve as a day-to-day lead for anesthesia technicians — mentoring, teaching, and ensuring team readiness and quality performance.

• Identify and communicate equipment and system needs, partnering with leadership to improve processes and patient care outcomes.

• Maintain aseptic technique, prepare sterile fields, and ensure all anesthesia care areas are stocked and ready for rapid response.
