Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic Franchise Onboarding Manager to join our team at our Plymouth Meeting, PA headquarters. This critical role will serve as the primary guide for new franchisees as they launch and establish their Zoom Drain locations, ensuring a seamless transition from franchise signing to a fully operational and profitable business. The Manager will take a consultative approach to collaborate, make data-driven decisions, and focus on the success and scalability of our franchisees.
Key Responsibilities
Launch Strategy & Program Management
- Lead and refine the entire franchisee onboarding process to ensure it is efficient, scalable, and meets Zoom Drain’s growth goals
 - Design and execute a comprehensive, multi-modal training program (virtual, in-person, field-based) covering all aspects of the Zoom Drain business, from service delivery, to operations, sales, and marketing
 - Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure onboarding effectiveness and franchisee ramp-up speed
 
Franchisee Coaching & Business Growth
- Serve as primary business coach and partner for new owners during their critical first 6-12 months
 - Conduct business planning sessions focused on revenue growth, marketing execution, and meeting financial milestones
 - Analyze franchisee financials (e.g. P&Ls, proformas) to help identify performance gaps and build strong business practices for early-stage growth
 - Provide hands-on support during launch phase, troubleshooting operational and business challenges
 
Cross-Functional Alignment & Reporting
- Collaborate closely with internal teams at the franchise level to ensure end-to-end onboarding success and alignment, acting as the main point of contact between new franchisees and franchise support teams
 - Leverage data dashboards and reporting tools to monitor onboarding performance and franchisee health, reporting key metrics, risks, and improvement plans to leadership
 
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the home services industry (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, restoration, or related trades) with a proven track record in franchise operations, training, or new business onboarding.
 - Deep understanding of home services business models, including dispatch, scheduling, pricing, and service delivery
 - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deep dive into complex operational issues
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
 - Tech-savvy with proficiency in tools such as field service management software, CRM systems, G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and data dashboards.
 - Willingness and ability to travel up to 30-40% for on-site franchisee support
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous franchise onboarding or support experience
 - Experience scaling service-based businesses
 - Familiarity with franchise compliance and FDD requirements
