Senior Finance Analyst

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join the Branch Network finance support team within Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB). This role will report to the Finance Sr. Manager and support three regions within the Atlantic region. This role will be responsible for monthly business reviews and workforce planning, and will be relied upon to provide business insights to the Region Executives In this role, you will: - Provide strategic guidance to Regional Banking Executives based on analysis of financial results and other key business metrics in order to achieve business objectives
- Drive effective Business Unit Review process connecting financial outcomes to key business metrics, uncovering key strengths and opportunities to the business. Prep leadership through analysis of Business Unit Review package data. Drive agenda to get to root cause of issues and document follow-ups.
- Lead implementation of Staffing Model targets, ongoing monitoring and activities to achieve in partnership with Recruiting & HR. Partner with Workforce Optimization to streamline processes, understand assumptions and actively participate in future development.
- Partner with Branch Banking Reporting to ensure Leading Indicator reporting connects to business strategy and Branch P&L outcomes. Incorporate leading indicators into Business Review content and ensure dashboards are being leveraged to drive behavioral change by field leadership.
- Review and recommend approvals of real estate business cases for consolidations, de novos and relocations. Develop understanding of underlying financial model assumptions and make recommendations to improve.
- Partner with other Regional Banking support functions to ensure Finance input is included, strong relationships are built, and fact-based data-driven decisions are made.
- Partner with Branch Banking Strategy on analysis of various initiatives impacting branches including but not limited to transaction migration, job family changes, growth initiatives, efficiency opportunities through technology and/or process changes.
- Develop strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning
- Lead team to meet the implementation of complex projects impacting one or more lines of business
- Establish effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standard and internal control standards
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications: - 4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications: - A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting.
- Experience synthesizing complex findings and communicate results to Finance leaders.
- Demonstrated experience creating business presentations for senior leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills with intellectual curiosity with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities under pressure.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
