Operations Support Manager

Our site at York provides advanced 3PL solutions to a premium Automotive brand and manages complex engineering services.

We are looking for experienced Operations Support Managers , based in York, PA, to plan, direct and coordinate the operations at the York facility. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. Work hours for this role are Third shift hours- Monday-Thursday 7pm to 5:30am.

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Oversee and manage the daily activities of packing and shipping functions to maximize scheduling and delivery of material to the customer.
• Interact with customer to ensure smooth -coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence; provides input on local conditions, identifies needs and receives direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases.
• Ensure operations supervisors manage schedule adherence notifying and escalating within the facility as warranted.
• Enacts contingency plans as needed; escalates and directs activities during systems problems, disasters, etc.; identifies potential problems, troubleshoots, escalates issues to the operations manager, and participates in post-mortem analysis of problems providing input for future process improvements.
• Conform to the processes and requirements of the synchronized management system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• High School Diploma and college level course work in related disciplines; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Progressive experience performing professional level operational and supervisory plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry
• Ability to exercise controls over implementation of policies and procedures for the operations.
• Skill in reviewing and formulating/revising/recommending operations policies and procedures; ability to exercise controls over the implementation of policies and procedures.
• Ability to direct the activities of the supervisors and hourly employees.
