Our client is a locally established glass company with over a decade of experience delivering high-quality residential and select commercial glass projects. Their core focus includes frameless shower doors, custom mirrors, glass partitions, and glass repair services. Built on a reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and attention to detail, the company is in a strong growth phase and expanding its capabilities into additional market segments. They value skilled trades professionals who take pride in their work and want to grow with a company that recognizes performance and dedication.
Position Overview
The General Manager is the senior operational leader at the company, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business — from day-to-day shop and field operations to team performance, customer satisfaction, and financial results. This is a hands-on role for a confident, organized leader who thrives in a trade environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations including scheduling, fabrication, and installation
- Ensure all jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to our quality standards
- Manage and develop a team of technicians, installers, and office staff
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
- Develop and manage budgets; monitor job costing and P&L performance
- Support estimating, sales, and contract review
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and commercial clients
- Enforce safety standards and maintain all required licenses and permit
Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience in glass, construction, or a skilled trade
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and projects
- Financial literacy: budgeting, job costing, and P&L management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the home service or construction industry strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business/estimating software
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
- Monthly bonuses tied to company performance
