Summary
Assists Credit Manager in performing the company's credit function. This includes: credit granting and collection and participating in the daily credit process.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for adhering to established credit policies and procedures, including special payment plans, collection of accounts receivable, and credit limits.
- Manage aging and apply collection techniques that attain superior results while maintaining the integrity of the relationship with clients.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the cash collection teams globally, mainly located in North America, Europe and China, to maximize cash flow through accounts receivable turnover.
- Investigates discrepancies between the sales invoice amount and payment from customer. This includes providing detailed information to sales staff.
- Responsible for customer file information/updates: potential, new, existing.
- Complete trade reference requests.
- Performs other duties and assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus 4 years related experience. Knowledge of General Accounting Principles necessary.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to tactfully interact with customers.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Skilled in the use of basic computer software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
