Interventional Cardiologist

Interventional Cardiologist Hershey & Lancaster Medical Centers - Hybrid Coronary

Penn State Health is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Interventional Cardiologist for a unique hybrid position spanning Hershey Medical Center (HMC) and Lancaster Medical Center (LMC) . This role combines the academic resources and high-acuity case mix of a major university medical center with the practice-building opportunities of a thriving community hospital.

Position Overview

This interventionalist will divide daytime clinical responsibilities between both campuses based on a defined weekly schedule, performing coronary interventions at both sites. Call responsibilities are limited to Lancaster Medical Center only.

What You Will Do

At Hershey Medical Center

• Perform complex coronary interventions including high-risk PCI with advanced hemodynamic support

• Participate in pulmonary thrombectomy and renal denervation procedures

• Engage in teaching and mentorship of cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students

• Contribute to clinical research through the Penn State College of Medicine

At Lancaster Medical Center

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic coronary interventions

• Manage acute STEMI activations as part of an established primary PCI program

• Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative cardiology care

• Participate in call coverage (LMC only)

• Contribute to programmatic growth of cardiovascular services at LMC

Qualifications

Required

• M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent

• Completion of ACGME-accredited fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology

• Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology

• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania

Preferred

• Interest in or experience with advanced coronary techniques including complex PCI, hemodynamic support, and atherectomy

• Experience with pulmonary thrombectomy and/or renal denervation

• Interest in academic medicine including teaching and clinical research

• Proficiency in multimodality cardiovascular imaging
