Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA for the 2026–2027 school year.

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
LOCATION: Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA
PAY: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour
HOURS: 7:00 - 8:30 am & 2:45 - 6:00 pm

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Position Responsibilities
The Before and After School Program team is responsible for:
- Assisting with the facilitation of hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities
- Assisting students with homework
- Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment
- Serving as a positive role model for children in the program
- Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed
- Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App
- Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
- Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
- Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
- Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
- Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
