Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and observant Temporary Security Guard to monitor and protect a vacant building/property for the next several months during construction. This role is responsible for maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols, monitoring for unauthorized activity, and promptly reporting concerns.
This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. Their is the potential to move into a full time role with us once the construction is completed in one of our other departments with multiple schedule options.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the property
- Monitor for trespassing, vandalism, theft, or suspicious activity
- Ensure all doors, gates, and access points remain secure
- Document incidents, observations, and shift activity in daily logs
- Contact emergency services or management when necessary
- Maintain a visible security presence at the property
- Perform basic property checks for safety concerns such as leaks, hazards, or maintenance issues
- Follow all company safety and security procedures
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required
- Ability to remain alert during overnight or extended shifts
- Must pass background screening.
- Ability to walk the property regularly throughout shifts
- Ability to stand, sit, and patrol for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions if exterior patrols are required
Schedule 2 Thursday-Sat 6:30pm-7am
