CNC Programmer

Job Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Saxonburg, PA

Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $81120 annually
Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Objective

Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam software, perform machining process development, and generate quotes for high-precision manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

• Read, write, and develop CNC programs using Mastercam software to meet customer specifications
• Perform machining process development and optimization (part setup/fixturing, machining strategy, tool selection, speed/feed parameters)
• Incorporate design changes per customer requirements and manufacturability improvements
• Design and build fixtures; provide tooling and fixturing best practices for production
• Generate models and shop drawings using CAD software
• Interface with Project Management on RFQs and drawing specifications to identify material requirements, job costing, and BOM routing
• Evaluate product designs and specifications to create quotes based on raw material and manufacturing process costs
• Coordinate with Purchasing to identify and order required machining materials and tooling
• Monitor output quality with Machining and Quality departments to identify process improvements
• Run production on machines as needed to meet ship dates and project schedules
• Assist with operator training and mentoring

Requirements

• 5+ years programming experience using Mastercam, Gibbs, or similar software in high-precision machining environment
• Machining Journeyperson papers or 5+ years skilled machining experience
• Independently set up CNC machines
• Interpret blueprints with GD&T tolerancing and high proficiency with G & M codes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Work off-peak hours and up to 10 hours/week overtime as needed
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Work in manufacturing shop environment (hot, cold, noisy areas)
