Job Title: Entry Level Carpenter/ Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Associate to join our team in two distinct areas: the Rough Mill and Assembly. In these roles, you will be involved in various tasks crucial for creating high-quality components and assembling drawer boxes.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to cut or shape wood pieces according to specific orders.
• Assist in organizing boards for customer jobs.
• Enter part numbers into the computer and manage the bubble wrapping of drawer boxes.
• Stage finished drawers for shipping in the packaging area.
• Ensure high-quality production standards and maintain a consistent workflow.
• Align incoming rough-cut wood onto a conveyor system leading to the mill area.
• Measure and select boards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Stack processed boards on skids, ensuring they meet measurement and quality standards.
• Work in production and assembly areas to prepare cabinet components.
• Assemble parts using clamps, glue, and nailers, following a training process to ensure accuracy.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Previous production experience.
• Strong multitasking abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma required.
• Experience in assembly, sanding, glazing, and cabinet production processes.

Work Environment

Work in a woodworking shop that is well-ventilated, minimizing dust and maintaining a manageable noise level. The position is open due to business growth, providing an excellent opportunity for permanent employment. Experience a positive work environment where weekends start early at 9 AM on Friday, thanks to the flexible schedule.

This is a Contract position based out of New Holland, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
