Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an HR Benefits Specialist to join our client to oversee employee benefits administration and wellness initiatives. This direct-hire, onsite position in the Media, PA area will play a key role in managing health and welfare programs, guiding compliance processes, and ensuring employees receive clear, accurate support around benefits. The specialist will also collaborate with leadership on open enrollment, ACA reporting, and wellness strategies that foster engagement and cost-effective outcomes.
Compensation:
$50,000 – $70,000 annually
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (may shift to 8:00–4:30 or 8:30–5:00 depending on schedule needs)
Key Responsibilities of the HR Benefits Specialist:
• Administer benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and compliance reporting.
• Partner with leadership, brokers, and vendors to manage renewals, ACA filings, and policy updates.
• Drive wellness initiatives by designing, promoting, and delivering programs that improve employee health and engagement.
• Analyze claims, audit invoices, and ensure proper employer/employee cost share while supporting cost-containment initiatives.
• Deliver benefits communications and presentations to employees individually and in group settings.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity, benefits records, and reporting to support decision-making.
• Provide guidance to employees on leave programs (COBRA, FMLA, etc.) and resolve escalated benefit inquiries.
Qualifications and Skills for the HR Benefits Specialist:
• At least 3 years of benefits administration experience; self-funded plan exposure strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems (Paylocity a plus) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of benefit regulations including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and ACA.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits clearly.
• Experience with wellness programs, ACA reporting, and supporting a variable-hour workforce is highly valued.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to nearby offices.
