What began as a pair of blenders, a patio table, and a fridge has flourished into a 250-unit operator and franchisor of the leading fast casual restaurant concept. Playa Bowls added almost 60 locations in 2023 and are on target to add as many 75 new locations in 2024. Our continued rapid growth has created the opportunity for an individual who will help us with continuing to grow our brand!

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in the Accommodation and Food Services industry. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment during your shift. Your major end result will be to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests and employees. You will be a key player in ensuring that our establishment runs efficiently and effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Cash handling experience
• Food safety knowledge
• Ability to repetitively use feet for extended periods of time
• Basic math skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in economics or accounting
• Ability to dust shelves and perform light cleaning duties
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the establishment during your shift
• Ensure that all employees are following safety procedures and food safety regulations
• Handle cash and maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Resolve conflicts and customer complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Train and mentor new employees to ensure they are meeting our standards

Skills:

As a Shift Leader, you will utilize your cash handling experience and food safety knowledge on a daily basis. You will also need to be proficient in basic math to accurately handle transactions. Additionally, your problem-solving and conflict resolution skills will be essential in resolving any issues that may arise during your shift. Preferred qualifications such as economics or accounting experience and light cleaning duties will also be utilized in this role.
