Inspector
The Moon Township Municipal Authority (MTMA) is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Inspector. This position is responsible for inspection, enforcement, and compliance activities related to the Authority’s water and wastewater systems, including implementation of the Sewer Use Ordinance, cross-connection control program, and related infrastructure inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of sewer service lines, grease interceptors, grit traps, oil/water separators, and related facilities to ensure compliance with Authority ordinances and regulations
• Perform inspections related to stormwater inflow and infiltration reduction efforts, including downspouts, area drains, smoke testing, and sewer televising projects
• Schedule and inspect water and sewer service installations for compliance with Authority standards
• Enforce the Cross-Connection Control Ordinance, including coordination of backflow prevention compliance and testing
• Prepare inspection reports, correspondence, documentation, drawings, and compliance records
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, plumbers, developers, consultants, and regulatory agencies regarding inspection and compliance matters
• Assist with GIS data collection, field verification, and infrastructure record maintenance
• Support regulatory inspections and special projects related to water and wastewater operations
• Collaborate with Authority departments to support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer service initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in construction, utilities, environmental sciences, engineering technology, or a related field preferred
• Experience in water, wastewater, construction inspection, utilities, plumbing, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure, construction practices, and applicable regulations preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with GIS, GPS, or inspection software preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and professionally with the public
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required
• Possess, or have the ability to obtain, Pennsylvania Class E Water and Wastewater Operator Licenses within twelve (12) months of employment

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation is commensurate with the established wage structure.
