CNC Laser Operator
APX Mercersburg is a manufacturing company that fabricates aluminum and steel enclosures for a variety of industries. Our customers use our enclosures for traffic controls, communications, utilities, and other various market applications. We are a growing business and are looking for individuals who want to come along on the upward journey!
We are actively seeking someone to operate and run a CNC laser.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up the laser machine each day to run
- Sourcing material from the plant floor to fulfill job orders
- Working with the engineering and production teams to address any corrections or adjustments that need to happen with any laser programs
- Keeping all parts for each job order organized and accounted for before moving work orders ahead in the production line
- Deburring parts as needed
- Keeping a clean work area
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in CNC laser cutting and CNC programming
- Familiarity with GD&T and electrical discharge machining
- Experience operating a forklift and using a press brake machine
- Ability to read blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and quality inspection techniques
