Job Description

Join our team in the Panel Shop where you will be responsible for assembling railroad tracks. This is a first-shift position, operating from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The role requires teamwork and strong experience in construction, foundry, or steel industries.

Responsibilities

• Assemble railroad tracks according to blueprints.
• Read and interpret measurements accurately to 1/32 inch.
• Utilize mechanical aptitude to ensure proper assembly.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading blueprints.
• Ability to read precise measurements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in assembly, machine operation, fabrication, or construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding experience is advantageous.
• Experience in labor-intensive roles is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in an open-air warehouse with exposure to elements similar to the outside weather. The environment involves physical labor, cold winters, hot summers, and a dirty setting. Safety is paramount with large moving steel pieces; therefore, awareness of surroundings is crucial. Steel-toed boots with metatarsal covers are required and will be provided. Jewelry should not be worn due to machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
