Travel Physical Therapy Assistant Job

TLC Nursing
Pennsburg, PA
Step into a meaningful travel assignment as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where your expertise translates into real-world independence for patients as they reclaim mobility and confidence. Beginning December 1, 2025, you will join a nationwide program anchored in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, with opportunities to rotate to other locations across the United States. In this role you’ll support therapists by conducting re-education, supervising therapeutic exercises, assisting with gait training, and guiding patients through activities of daily living. Your hands-on care, empathy, and professional judgment will help people progress—from post-surgical recovery to chronic mobility challenges—while you expand your clinical toolkit and grow in confidence as a key member of an interdisciplinary team. Pennsylvania offers more than a job; it invites you to experience a spectrum of landscapes, from rolling farmland and verdant valleys to the rugged beauty of the Poconos, plus arts, history, and cuisine that enrich everyday life as you work and explore in balance.

Pennsburg is known for its close-knit community feel and access to thriving regional networks of care, education, and recreation. As a travel clinician, you’ll have the chance to work in this charming base and to take assignments in other states, broadening your professional horizons while staying anchored by reliable support. You’ll benefit from structured housing assistance, competitive pay, and guaranteed hours, all designed to minimize relocation stress while maximizing clinical exposure. The travel program is designed to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences for patients and clinicians alike, with clear itineraries and dependable logistics so you can focus on treatment, patient outcomes, and your own professional growth. Each assignment strengthens your resume while expanding your understanding of diverse practice environments, from outpatient clinics and inpatient rehabilitation units to skilled nursing facilities.

Core responsibilities include performing patient assessments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, implementing and progressing individualized plans of care, guiding therapeutic exercises, balance and gait training, neuromuscular re-education, manual techniques as directed, and documenting progress notes that reflect functional gains. You’ll monitor safety, adapt modalities to patients’ goals, educate families and caregivers, and participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition home or to community programs. This role offers robust professional growth within the physical therapy assistant track, with opportunities to expand your skills across orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric rehab contexts through on-site mentoring and access to continuing education resources. Benefits are designed to attract and retain top talent: a competitive weekly pay range of $1,626 to $1,634, guaranteed hours of 35 per week, and a signing bonus or extended assignment options. Housing assistance helps you secure convenient, comfortable accommodations, while extension opportunities let you continue beyond an initial period if clinical needs and preferences align. Comprehensive support is available 24/7 as you travel with the company, including urgent help, scheduling adjustments, and access to a dedicated travel support team to address any issue that arises on the road.

At the heart of our program is a commitment to empower staff. We invest in your career advancement through mentorship, collaborative leadership, and ongoing access to skills development. You’ll find a supportive work environment that values patient-centered care, professional integrity, and a team-based approach, where your growth is measured not only by outcomes but by the confidence you help patients regain and by the leadership you bring to each assignment.

Ready to elevate your clinical impact while exploring new communities? Apply now to join a company that values your contributions, supports your development, and stands beside you as you build a resilient travel career in physical therapy assistance. The role begins 12/01/2025 in Pennsburg, PA, with assignments across multiple U.S. locations possible, flexible duration measured in weeks, and the chance to extend your contract based on performance and patient needs. Note: Hours and pay rates are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages will be confirmed during the hiring process.
