Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Ottumwa, IA 52501 (Southeast Iowa healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/25/2025 – 11/24/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (specify preference when applying)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,800 - $1,840
• Patient Population: Adult patients; support staff includes CNAs and LPNs
• Electronic Health Record: MediTech
• Float Requirements: May float to other healthcare facilities within a 25-mile radius

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license (Registered Nurse)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (Iowa SING BG and child abuse clearance)
• Recent titers (within the last 12 months)
• 10-panel drug screening (including opiates)
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in MediTech EHR
• Deliver compassionate support to patients and families
• Float to other medical units or healthcare facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
